Mandala Mania
I find creating mandalas an absorbing and contemplative exercise and very quieting for the mind. (They can also be used for meditation). It's fun to do and you have something to show for it at the end!
Some can be quite intricate, some very simple, such as creating cut-out patterns which are almost instantaneous.
Find inspiration from the world around you: flowers, the human body (eg the eye), the cells of the body, tree rings, and even pizzas! So have fun, play and enjoy being creative.
